1. What happens to my security
system during a power failure?When an A/C power failure occurs your system stays on-line. Every security system we install includes a battery backup power supply that keeps your system functioning during temporary power outages. If you are concerned about extended power outages lasting over 8 hours please feel free to contact us about additional back-up options.

2. Can I reach an Alarm King
service representative on weekends and holidays?
Alarm King is here to answer your phone calls 24-hours a day. In addition, we have field technicians on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Your security is our number one priority!
4. What happens when my alarm system sounds?
When your alarm system sounds, a signal is instantly transmitted to the central station. Central station monitoring team will then know which area of your premises has been violated.
• Central station verifies the alarm, then will call premises phone number on file to verify if the alarm was accidentally tripped. The Central Station operator will have your password on file so that you can identify yourself in the event of a false alarm.
• Central station dispatches the concerned authorities - If there is no answer at the premises or the person who answers the phone does not know the password our central station monitoring team will then dispatch the concerned authorities. (Police, Fire Service, or Medical).
• Central station will call the emergency responders - After the authorities have been dispatched, we then contact people listed on your "emergency call list" and inform them of the alarm.
3. How do I know which
technician will be meeting me
at my home or business?
For your convenience we have information about our technicians so you can verify their identities on our about us page!
5. How often should I test my security system?
You should test your security system at least once a month. Contact us for information or schedule a complete system service to make sure everything is working properly. 1-203-743-1721
6. How long does it take to receive a FREE estimate on a
security system or to schedule a service appointment?
Alarm King makes every effort to schedule an appointment on the same day of the request. Appointments are scheduled for the morning (after 8am) or the afternoon (before 4pm).
7. What should I do in the event of a false alarm?
Remain calm and turn off your security system if you can. Our monitoring center will call you to make sure that everything is okay and verify your password. You can also call us at 1-800-920-0315 to let us know that you set the alarm off. You will need to verify your password at that time.
8. How do I update my contact list and change my user
codes?
Our customer service representatives will verify your password and account number and make the changes right away.
